Information to Foreign
Student regarding Admission |
Admission
of foreign student in Osmania University, exclusively
handled
by URFO, is centralized. As such all correspondence
should be addressed to the Director, University
Foreign Relations Office, Osmania University,
Hyderabad-500 007, INDIA. International students
are advised not to apply to the colleges directly.
Self-supporting
foreign students who desire to pursue their
studies in Osmania
University,
may apply directly to the Director, University
Foreign Relations Office, Osmania University,
Hyderabad-500 007, INDIA, along with the certified
copies of the certificates/diploma of the examination
passed by them and a non-refundable Demand
Draft towards the registration fee (see Table
1 in ‘Details of Fee Structure’ for
a given programme), drawn in favour of “ Director,
University Foreign Relations Office, Osmania
University, Hyderabad,” for obtaining
the ‘Eligibility Certificate’ to
get ‘Provisional Admission’
The
annual tuition fee has to be paid in full at
the time of admission
at URFO only.

Eligibility
Central Institute of Tool Design (CITD),
Hyderabad, is offering the following courses in
Master
of Engineering with University College of Engineering,
Osmania University, Hyderabad
1. M.E. (Mechanical – CAD/CAM) – 4
Semesters (24 Months)
2. M.E. (Tool Design) – 4
Semesters (24 Months)
Qualification
B.E./B.Tech. in Mechanical
Engineering / Production Engineering / equivalent
with minimum of 50%
marks in the qualifying examination.

Admission
Procedure
1. Undergraduate, Post-graduate
and Research Programmers in Faculties other
than Engineering
and technology:
International students can start
applying for Provisional Admission into any
undergraduate,
post-graduate and Research Programmes Applications
will be considered on a first-come –first-served
basis. |
Engineering, Technology
courses: |
 The
international student can start applying from
any time.
After
scrutiny of the applications for eligibility,
the University will issue
a ‘Provisional
Admission Latter’ for the purpose of
obtaining from Indian Consulate/Embassy a ‘Student
Visa’ or ‘Research Visa’ as
the case may be that must be endorsed to Osmania
University and without which no admission can
be made.
Undergraduate,
Post-graduate Research Programmes in Faculties
other then Engineering
and Technology:

After obtaining the
visa endoresed to Osmania University ,the student
must apply for ‘Regular Admission’ to
the Director, University Foreign Relations Office,
Osmania University, Hyderabad-500 007,India.
Engineering,
Technology Course:
After scrutiny of the application for eligibility,
the University will issue a ‘Provisional
Admission Letter’ indicating the course
to which he\she is admitted as also the college
to which he\she is allotted. After obtaining
the ‘student must send a Written confirmation
of the acceptance of the course to the Director,University
Foreign Relations Office, Osmania University,
Hyderabad-500-007, India.
Engineering, Technology
Courses:
Eligibility : The candidate
must have qualified in 10+2 {K12} or equivalent
examination. International
students graduating from universities/Schools
abroad and seeking admission into these courses
are exempt from EAMCET,an entrance test conducted
each year by the Government of Andhra Pradesh
for selecting the candidates into
Engineering& Technology stream and any
other entrance tests conducted for the purpose.
However, candidates securing at least 60% or
equivalent GPA grade in their qualifying examinations
only are eligible for admission.

Courses:
(B.E/M.E/B.Tech./M.C.A/M.B.A/B.Pharm./HM&CT)
All
international students will be asked to exercise
their options for a subject specialization
and CITD while applying . Option once exercised
is final and no change in this regard will
be entertained subsequently.
After
ascertaining the eligibilty of the candidates,
the applications
will be referred
to a selection committee consisting of the
respective Heads of the Departments and headed
by the dean of that faculty for final allotment
of the specializations and CITD, Hyderabad..
All
admissions will be made as per the merit
of the candidate in the qualifying examination,the
option exercised at the time of application
and the availability of seats.
