General information
All international students should produce a medical certificate to the effect that they are not affected by AIDS, at the time of admission

An international student who has been granted admission into a particular course shall not be allowed to change his/her course for which he/she was originally admitted.

Once an international student has taken an admission in a particular college/institution, he/she shell not be allowed to change the college/ institution without ‘no objection’letter from the principal of the college/institution where he/she was originally admitted.

International students are not eligible to join correspondence course or external examinations conducted by this University.

Special English coaching, if they so desire, can be given to the students coming from non-English medium, by the English Language Training Centre,at each of the colleges /Institution where admitted on payment basis.

Since hostel accommodation is not available of the private affiliated colleges and in the University, the staff at University Foreign Relations Office and the Office of International Student Advisor will help students in finding suitable accommodation in private houses. Rents for the off-campus private housing vary,depending upon the locality available therein.

University doesn’t have any provision for scholarships to International Students.However, the government of India grants some scholarships under various schemes and student are advised to contact the nearest India Ermbassy for necessary information about them. They may also contact the UNESCO Handbook for study Abroad that lists some scholarships and the addresses to which applications should be mailed. They can also apply to the ‘Director, Indian Council for Cultural Relations {ISD Section},LP.Estate,New Delhi 110 002,INDIA, for possible award of scholarship.

International students should have the required financial resources to cover all their expenses. Part-time employment is not available.

Indian customs and practices are different from other countries in many respects and international students are expected to respect them.

The candidate’s request for application from must accompany a Demand Draft for Indian Rs.400/-in favour of Director, UFRO,Osmania University,Hyderabad,and a 9’’x12’’ Size self-addressed envelope with pre-paid postage {Rs. 100/- must be sent to the ‘Director, University Foreign Relations Office,Osmania University, Hyderabad –500 007, Andhra Pradesh INDIA.

Requirements of Enclosures to Applications.The enclosures to the application comprise:

Certified copies of the marks sheet of the qualifying examination. If these are not In English Language then they should be certified in English.
A copy of the passport of the student

A non-refundable Demand Draft towards registration fee in a favour or the

‘ Director, UFRO,Osmania University, Hyderabad’ for Indian Rupees equivalent too: US $ 200/-{For M.C.A/M.B.A/M.Sc.{comp}/B.E/B.Tech/M.E/M.Tech/B.pharm Course.

NOTE: To ensure speedy processing of applications candidates are instructed to send the asked-for information as a complete set.

Applications of foreign students who have obtained their PG degree in Osmania University or any other Indian University must reach the UFRO.

Decision on Admission

As soon as the processing of the applications is completed,will be notified of their admission status and if they are found eligible then a ‘Provisional Admission Letter’ will be issued from the university for the purpose of obtaining ‘Student Visa’ that must be endorsed to OSMANIA UNIVERSITY only. However,in case of foreign students residing in India and taking EAMCET, PG Entrance Test or any other entrance tests conducted for the purpose, their admission is subject to their qualifying in the test and they will be informed of their admission after the Entrance results are announced.

DETAILS OF FEE STRUCTURE

The fees outlined in the table below is payable yearly and is valid for the year 2002-2003.it may be subsequent to change in the following years.
